    This soup has only 7 ingredients, so be sure to use good chicken stock, real maple syrup and heavy cream. You can make this soup vegetarian by using vegetable stock or gluten free by making sure you use a gluten free chicken stock. Coconut cream would be a good substitute for the heavy cream if you don't eat dairy, or just omit the cream. Squash can be roasted ahead and soup can also be made ahead and re-heated. If it thickens, simply thin with a bit more chicken stock.
